about Galena Benchmark
Mapping Land with Purpose and Precision
In 1953 the founder of Benchmark Associates, Phil Puchner came to Sun Valley after serving in the 10th Mountain Division in World War II where he became an avid alpine and cross country ski racer. Over the years he established his engineering and surveying company while busy as a ski instructor.
In April 2023 Benchmark Associates merged companies with Galena Engineering to become Galena-Benchmark Engineering. Today, Galena-Benchmark is a full service multi-discipline firm providing professional services in civil engineering, land planning, surveying, and land information systems.
